Ponderosa Gardens Motel is nestled 100 feet off the road underneath tall pine trees in the heart of Paradise, CA next to the Holiday shopping center and across the street from several fine restaurants. A locally-owned family-run business, we have friendly professional staff that will be happy to tend to your every need. Moreover, our motel features great grassy areas with picnic tables, a pool area, banquet facilities, and so much more. We believe that the Ponderosa Gardens Motel is the best place to stay in Paradise, Ca. Our establishment is above the fog and below the snow, close to several lakes, hiking trails, and our area boasts a lot of fun activities.

Relax & Unwind With Incredible Facilities

Many of our guests have told us we are more like a destination resort than a motel. We provide a great place to relax, unwind, and wake up feeling rested and refreshed. There is a wonderful trail that runs alongside The Ponderosa Gardens for several miles. It is a unique way to get some fresh air, exercise, and take in the diverse flora of the foothills. There are discounts to many local restaurants that are available and many are located within walking distance from the motel. Furthermore, there is a local gym nearby, Beyond Fitness that is only a 5-10 minute walk away.

Our Amenities and Offerings

We currently have 34 rooms and we offer continental breakfast in the front office from 7:30 - 9:00 am. In addition, we also have a small gift shop in the front office. We have a pool and jacuzzi that is open all year long. Are you looking for a view? Every room has its own patio and view of the pool courtyard. We are within walking distance of the local grocery store, bar, and pizza place. The town’s local events are held at Terry Ashe Park which is also within walking distance, only about 5 minutes. The Ponderosa Gardens Motel has been locally owned and operated for over 38 years. The reason why we are distinctive is because we offer a quiet location in town that is well-known for the downtown location right off the Skyway. As many locals were, we were unfortunately impacted by the wildfires in 2018. Ponderosa Gardens Motel is centrally located in the heart of Paradise, CA near the local grocery store, bar, and local stores.

We've stayed here twice now over the weekend when family came up to visit from Nevada and got us a room, so we could spend more time with them! My daughters really enjoyed staying and spending time with their grandma! She took them swimming in the pool and then they all relaxed in the hot tub!
Both times we've stayed, we got the same room and it was very clean and had everything we needed!! The room had a big bathroom with shower/tub combo, 2 beds with a nightstand between them, a small table with chairs, dresser, TV, small coffee maker, microwave* and mini fridge that holds a few small items!
Overall, Ponderosa Gardens is a great place and very friendly! They also have a gift shop inside the office and they have some pretty nice stuff- be sure to check them out! 🙂

*We did have an odd and unexplainable something happen--not once but twice.... First time we stayed here, around 4:30-5AM, the microwave randomly started all by itself- it was really weird and kinda spooky. My boyfriend and I had just gotten up at 4 to finish a banner for our daughters soccer game that morning; we were no where near the microwave when it started- nothing had happened--no surge, no flicker, nothing. Needless to say I made my boyfriend unplug it after it stayed on for a good minute or 2.
Second time here, over the Halloween weekend; again for no reason the microwave decided it was going to come on again randomly, waking me out of a dead sleep around 3:45AM and stay on for a few minutes, then turn off for 10-15 minutes before turning on again! It did this several more times before it completely stopped.
